A telnet to 80 or 8080 yields:
HTTP/1.1 503 Busy
Content-Length: 0
So I assume it's a server issue
This compounded with having to update all SMP's in order to get any points and then having the Stanford Web pages go down at the same time is really an absolute treat - fantastic!

That server almost always has issues. It is nothing new and one of the most troubled reported servers in this forum.
