Stats update period

It says it happends every 3 hours and takes about 1 hour to complete. I keep checking in within the appropriate time fame and it keep saying the stats are still updating and the start time changes every 3 hours like it's still running fine. Seems like it never finishes. Any idea whats going on?

If you mean the Stanford Stats , They update every 2 hours starting on the even ( Stanford Time ) hours. Check just before the even hours ( Stanford Time ). Sometime it takes more than 2 hours to update.
The Third party stats update every three hours.

Just realized i tied the thridparty hours with Stanford. But like you said, it can take longer than 2 hours to do the updates and the updates happen every 2 hours. Seems like everytime i check they are overlapping.(going on 1 and half hours right now into the update and its still processing) Seems like a longer update interval is needed or more processing power for the stats is needed. Anyone know of way to see how many cpu/clients Standford is seeing for my name without looking directly at the standford generated user stat page? I've looked at the thirdparty stats and havent seen anything. Thanks.

Stanford has been crediting some or all of the WUs that failed to be added to the accounts when the server was down Nov 12. When they do a large update, they generally suspend on-line access since each process slows down the other quite significantly. Hopefully the new servers will be on-line soon, and this problem should be reduced significantly.

I see the stats are back on-line now, so I'll close this thread.
(The 3rd party stats sites will probably resume updating on their normal schedule, but Stanford has no control over that.)
