Quick question on the teams!

Post by Sakura Shinguji »

I checked all over Google and on folding@home main page but I could not find a team whose efforts are for colon cancer research other than "Karen's Cancer". I was wondering what other teams are doing this so that I can run multiple clients for different teams. Just in case if anyone wants "Karen's Cancer" team number, it is 144824. Thanks~!

Hello Sakura Shinguji, welcome to the folding forum.

While certain teams may have an interest in one specific disease, ALL teams contribute work units to ALL projects being studied by Stanford, and that includes several diseases. One cannot choose to only work on cancer work units. Everyone gets a variety of work, cancer work units today, AD tomorrow, mad cow the next day, etc. Karen's also folds all types of work units too.

Pick a team with an interest and spirit that matches you. You can contribute to multiple teams if you like, but contributing to one team is just as helpful to the F@h project.

X_X Thanks! I did six work units initially at team 555 simply because I liked some show called Kamen Rider 555, but realized that the team was named Chaperone-R-US who seem to have a relation to the Chaperone disease. That was when I thought that teams can work on specific diseases and thought to try out another team. Regardless, thanks for your answer!
