I don't know what's your experiences with adding RAM...will it increase my PPD? Sorry if this has already been asked, I'm not very familiar with all the hardware and such.
Cheers!

Adding more RAM will not increase your PPD.

It depends. If you're running out of memory, your PPD will decrease because your OS will resort to swapping. If folding doesn't exhaust your supply of RAM, adding more won't really do much.

A few more details about how much memory you have now, what OS and clients, and what you plan to add would better help us answer the question more specifically. What was posted above is also correct, in a general sense.

It also depends on whether your machine is just for FAH or if you plan to do other things. Although this example is Linux, here's a discussion where a person discovered that they didn't have enough RAM to run both FAH and watch a video at the same time. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10525&start=0
