Extending windows 7 desktop with one monitor for folding?

Post by dev00790 »

How to extend windows 7 desktop onto 2 displays?

- I have one monitor and two nVidia graphics cards.
I want to extend the desktop to another ("imaginary" monitor) in order to setup folding@home correctly to work on Windows 7. (using http://folding.stanford.edu/English/WinGPUGuide as a rough guide). I have done this succesfully for my XP installation (PC dual boots), but Win 7 is new to me, so stuck how to do this.

Help would be appreciated.

I guess 7 is like Vista, you'll need a dummy plug to be able to extend desktop.
