Re: No work for GPU [ GFX560 ]
it's just 0. 0. 0. 0. [ same for collection.] as nothing assigned.
That's fron V7 Advanced Control.
from the log:
21:31:59:WARNING:WU00:FS01:Failed to get assignment from '171.67.108.204:80': Failed to connect to 171.67.108.204:80:
No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

Re: No work for GPU [ GFX560 ]
Then it was not connecting to any server, I don't know where you got those numbers:
0.0.0.0 is not an address, it is just used as a place holder in the collection server field when none is assigned for a project. Most projects these days do not have a designated collection server as backup to the WS.
These numbers are not from FAHControl under any normal operation, they appear to be copied from part of the server status page. That information can not be used to determine what core is being requested, that is determined by the project and AS.new08 wrote:This is the attempted WS but can't determine the Core from this.

Is this possible to find out?

They were supplied from the 0. 0. 0. 0 WS string in adv control highlighted as a web link in blue.
The C.S gives the same page data when called up.

Re: No work for GPU [ GFX560 ]
The link just happens to bring up some nonsense information, however it has nothing to do with an attempted WS connection. It probably should just return a page not found or something like that. What it appears to be is a leftover website location from the previous version of the server status page and its connected status logs.
Dr. Pande did announce work was being done on a new version of the client, this would be one of the areas where a new version is needed to catch up with changes on the folding web site. For instance, clicking in a valid WS address in FAHControl currently gives a 404 error as the location it used to link to has moved.

Re: No work for GPU [ GFX560 ]
OK. It looks like I can fold on when this is sorted.
I'll stop the Control running for now and await a client upgrade.
I'm not sure how I will know about this when it occurs though...

You're not providing enough information. Please provide more information directly from your log including the attempts to get more work. The information you provided is not from the log ... and there is no server with IP = 0.0.0.0

That log is insufficient. We cannot support you when you're using the beta flag.

I guess the issue here is WinXP ...
Update to a newer version of Windows, or switch to Linux ...

Yep, as I mentioned on page 1.
7im wrote:The newest GPU core, Core 21, isn't assigned to Windows XP 32 bit, IIRC. And there is limited availability of the older GPU core projects as they finish and get replaced by Core 21.

Re: No work for GPU [ GFX560 ]
Are you sure some Anti Virus or Fire Wall application didn't get updated that is blocking the client connection?
Also, I don't see the client trying to connect on port 8080 as well as 80. Is this system behind a business network, or is this a home system?

Re: No work for GPU [ GFX560 ]
Windows firewall- been working ok for ages with folding. Home system, XP-SP3.
I turned off the Virus shields to check, too.[Avast] No difference & up to date.
You're right Port 8080 is missing but had been using before.
No logs from then available now though, as many days passed.Last work 24th June.
I can't see the unit as it's not getting one. I can't tell whether any Core 18 work is going out.
That would be a help to know.
I can't see the server address in my port monitor [with port 80 at the sending end].
Is this any help?
