What's this new GRO-A4 core?
I was looking at the project database and noticed three projects that I hadn't seen before: 6005, 6006, and 6007. The core they use is listed as "GRO-A4." I'm curious as to whether this is a new core and, if so, what platform it'll be/is for.

Presumably that will be either the new SHARPEN core or a new core for the SMP2 client that we keep hearing rumours about. That said, this is all total speculation

Re: What's this new GRO-A4 core?
It's a new core under development. We'll announce details when it gets released. Those projects are not publicly accessible right now. We're looking forward to sharing details as they become available.

Being that these projects are not publicly accessible right now,
it seems a bit odd that these projects are listed on the public psummary page.

Judging by the GRO in "GRO-A4", a believe it's a GROMACS core, not a SHARPEN.

Typical fah, never one to be completely consistent.
We had fahcores a0, a1, and a2, but those were named GROMACS33, GRO-SMP, and GROCVS. Skipped a3? And now GRO-A4...? time to think up another nickname.
So would multple A4 WUs be called GroA4s ?
Or just A4s WUs (especially if they underscored just a bit)?
If they were large work units, they'd be BigA4s WUs

Perhaps, but after Kasson's post, there's not going to be any more useful information -- just idle speculation or off-topic jokes. I think it's time to lock the thread.pmasley wrote:7im, methinks you been at keyboard just toooooo long!
