Hello,
It's my first post here. I have an idea to donate >1 TFLOPS to science. looked many projects (GPUgrid, Rosetta, Worldgrid..) and F@H seems to fulfill my value requirements:
- non-profit, results publicly available;
- life science, helps to make future safer for our kids;
- supports GPU's, which has very high performance per $, "smart performance";
- my feeling is, that F@H can deliver enough work units and there are no bottlenecks in task/analysis process;
- it seems, that support is good and clients constantly developed and problems fixed;
- last but not least, I like F@H community.
Hope to donate some good points soon. I started with my quad-core Xeon server, using high perf MP client. I ordered workstation, described below. Hope to get it running this weekend.
Jaak
