F@H on two machines and 1 user name
I currently run folding @home on a ps3 and am on team #55265 and wonder if it's possible to run F@H on a pc as well using the same user name so that all units are credited to my user name for rankings on the team?

Yes, just configure the same username, team number, and passkey (if used) on all your clients.

beautiful! Just trying to help where I can. I have a fairly new Dell inspiron 1525 dual core laptop with 3 gig of ram that I'm doing nothing with but surfing the internet and it's always on. Might as well help when and where I can. Plus I'm a 100% disabled veteran who has had over 10 surgeries in my life and to this day am fighting to keep my right leg. Helping in the medical world has a special interest for me.
One more question...on the ps3 we can view the folding application wiggle and stuff. Is this possible on the pc as well? When I click on display all I see is a black screen.

Re: F@H on two machines and 1 user name
The display currently does not work properly for some people, and also takes an inordinate amount of CPU power (slowing down the actual processing) so sadly the usual recommendation is not to use it. I recommend using a monitoring program like FahMon to monitor your PC client.

Welcome to the fold, racefan1965.
If you want to show off what you're doing to your friends, use the PS3. It's a lot easier to explain and then just casually mention that they can do it on their PC, too, like you are.
As far as monitoring what's happening, my personal wish is that Sony would open up their FAH client just a bit and let me monitor it from my PC with FahMon (or FahSpy, if that's what you prefer).

Re: F@H on two machines and 1 user name
you can run it (and should) on ALL your machines same user name and team #. im pretty sure the machine ID is unnecessary unless running multiple clients on 1 machine but soeone more familiar will have to confirm
