Interesting that I would be assigned the exact same unit when it was already completed by someone else.

Perhaps they didn't make the preferred deadline.

One thing to watch out for--are you using the 6.23 client? The WU in question was assigned to you several times (presumably each after a 0x0 failure).

Yes--you missed the deadline. It looks like the core hung on deleting the work unit and cleaning up after the deadline expired.
