Hi,
I've noticed that sometimes I let my GPU client work, and after 18 hours (eg: 10.11.08) I got 2016 points, which is 480+480+480+480+48+48. I checked it in first 7 hours and I saw 96 points, thats why I assume I got 48 instead of 480 points. But no idea how would that be possible.
I tought that it was some one time error, but it keeps doing till today.
Fahmon always shows me that I have 480 points WU.
Interesting is also that Fahmon shows me 4300PPD, which is weird because the 480points WU is fodling 3 hours, so 24(day)/3(WU) = 8(WUs per day) and 8x480 is 3840(ppd)
Folding on 8800GS
It is normal, or it is some kind of error?
Thx

Re: Points
You might want to check back though the client log and see what project wu's and their point value have been completed you may have had a unit or 2 EUE (end unit early) and was given partial credit for what part was completed and sent back. FahMon only shows current wu's that are under way not the completed units you need to check the logs for that info.

Well, the answer is probably "Both"melissa wrote:It is normal, or it is some kind of error?

Shadowtester has already explained it. If one of your 480 point WUs was 20% complete when it had an error, you could have received 96 points for the 20% that you completed. You can probably figure that out by looking back in FAHlog.txt or FAHlog-Prev.txt.
It probably isn't an error that you can do anything about. A small percentage of WUs will reach conditions from which the simulation cannot continue which is why partial credit is granted for partial work.

Re: Points
yes, i saw in logs one unit which had ~20% then it was sent to the server.
so it is ok
