Trolls. Deal with it.

May I also wish 80% of the posters in this thread a big, warm "welcome to the Internet"? Nothing is sacred here. Nothing!

Well, I created a team and found that my suggestion wouldn't work after all. There is an option to set a password to prevent others from pretending to be you, and I had anticipated a similar option for teams. It looks like any team created is a free-for-all. It would be convenient if it were otherwise. Sure, the internet is used by this project, but that doesn't mean that the project has to sink to the lower juvenile levels of the internet where we have to welcome those who have no respect for our team to join our team when there are many others they could join or create. Let the juveniles be juvenile with whatever name they want on their own team and contribute without being disrespectful to other contributors. There are plenty of playgrounds online without FAH providing another one to get research done.
Is it difficult to allow the option to password-protect our teams?

Exactly!

Folks have begged and pleaded for changes to be made in order to protect teams and users alike,
but this seems to hold no value to those in charge.

This seems a pretty lousy way to treat donors, without whom the project would not fare too well.

Perhaps overlooked when the project was in its infancy, but now it seems a lack of respect.

And do not be fooled into believing that your name is protected, either... it is not.

I think it's time to end this discussion. It is now in it's third page and everybody has had a chance to state their position at least once. The primary purpose of this site is to help people who are having trouble running FAH. The original question was answered on the first page and the rest can be discussed on some other site where discussions of religion, politics, censorship, etc. are encouraged.
