Can you provide more details about the client you're using, and describe the "lock" (do you have any error message ?) ?

Just some clues : unstable overclocking, overheating components, bad PSU, bad memory ...

I wouldn't necessarily say "bad" power supply, but more likely insufficient wattage power supply. In my experience, people often have a hard time accepting that there could be anything wrong with their BRAND NEW power supply :).

What is the wattage of the power supply?

Also, 6400's will get *very* hot unless you take steps to ensure excellent airflow. Is your case cramped or clogged with wiring and stuff. Is it a minitower or a full tower? How many case fans? Have you monitored your CPU temp with the utilities that came with your motherboard?

jon_sighvatsson, if you can reconfigure the client, set priority to "idle",
that is unless you are running the GPU2 client,
which when used in conjunction with any other client, should be set to "slightly higher".
