Can't search for "1.10" [use the google site search]

Post by Trivolve »

I was looking for posts on the new ATI core 1.10, and i typed 1.10 into the search box.

and i got:
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: 1 10

Perhaps there is a way to allow words in quotations to pass off as 4 characters, so as to allow core versions to be searched? E.g. let "1.10" count as a 4-character word so that it is not considered "uncommon" and would be searched.

The basic search tool which is part of phpBB is rather lame but it's objective is to keep the search index small enough to still be fast. We didn't design it -- it came with the phpBB software, so you may want to visit their site and ask for a future enhancement.

We have, however, added the Google search engine and it's available as an alternative. Did you try it?
