I'm just a guy that likes to fold and possibly help find a cure for some awful disease.
I built my system in Oct. 2020. I7 9700KF @ 4.9, liquid cooled, running W10 LTSC 64bit, Asrock Taichi 5700XT 8GB card, 850W EVGA gold PSU, 32GB RAM. This machine folded perfectly since I built it. Or at least as perfectly as I could tell. Until well over a year ago the GPU started causing system shutdowns. I'm just now getting around asking for help because I cannot figure it out.
When I start F@H, I have it set to use 7 out of 8 cores. When I try to enable the GPU to fold, it typically crashes within seconds. Sometimes, it makes it a few minutes but that hasn't happened in a long while. I'm fully updated on Windows and have the latest and greatest AMD driver installed. I really want to utilize the GPU as this is now a spare machine and I can leave it running 24/7.
5700XT folded for years, now it causes crash

If a GPU of that caliber is causing system shut down your PSU might be dying, your GPU might be dying.
If it crashes within seconds of workload, PSU is probably an issue

Thanks for the reply.
That's what my gut is telling me and that sucks, oh well. It's been a great card for me. What's odd is I've only had it apart to reapply paste every year. Temps never get over 90 when stress testing. Runs nice and cool consistently. 53 at idle. Might need to dust off some old SLI cards just to fill the slots....
