*alert - lack of technical knowledge - use small words...
I am running a Lenovo thinkpad with an Intel Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9880H CPU @ 2.30GHz. It is unable to complete virtually any WU assigned to it. In our FAH windows control I have assigned 15 of 16 cores to FAH. The processor accepts assigned WU's (always at a very low point value), however despite running at least 12 hours a day it virtually never completes a WU before it times out. In my older thinkpads the CPU did all the work and worked fine and were able to complete virtually any WU assigned to it.
Is there any way for me to get this Intel CPU to perform to the level necessary to complete WU or is it best just to turn it off in the web control?
(I also don't want to lose any points by turning it off, but imagine points are solely WU related as opposed to how many processors are working - I know "we don't do this for the points"...
PS - my nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design seems to be doing great - much faster than my old thinkpads that did not have a dedicated GPU).
Thanks in advance!
