Is there linux opencl support for Ellesmere?

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Is there linux opencl support for Ellesmere?

Post by notabrick@gmail.com »

I recently migrated to Linux to avoid the forced upgrade to Win 11. My Radeon 570 XT (Ellesmere/GNC4.0) worked fine in windows (something close to 50x the performance of my CPU) but, can't seem to get openCL to work in Linux, even with the proprietary AMD driver. I read a handful of posts and while none have my exact card, it seems that some people managed to get it to work, while others insist opencl for that card is no longer supported by any Linux driver. Before another round of fighting with drivers, I'd like to know if it is a fight that can even be won. Can you tell me if it is supported or not?

Thanks
