Unable to upload to 128.174.73.74

Post by comixgoddess »

Unable to upload project 19229 run:3629 clone:8 gen:6 to server 128.174.73.74. Checking the server status shows this server is down. Unfortunately, the collection server, 158.130.118.25, is showing as "not connected". This has been going on now for over 4 hours.

Yea my equipment is at a complete standstill. Even tried manually deleting the WU’s (not a recommended practice*) because I have one stuck. The WU dump file is in the way, refusing to let the rest of the CPUs and GPUs to work.

I have the same issue with only one WU: PRCG 12129. The upload file is huge.

I managed to finally download a new WU, but upload is still stuck... C'mon FAH, it's fall, I'm entirely relying on FAH for heating :-)

Whatever is wrong is getting worse. All my hosts are now affected. Is this a DDOS attack on F@H? Or could it be Starlink (my ISP)?

As mentioned many times in various threads here: servers are having a fit

158.130.118.25 and 158.130.118.26 are available for connection using 8080 port, request from Saratov, Russia. But it was too long to wait. My Firefox browser waits for response longer than Folding@home client. Which is currently not assigned to these servers.

Ping-admin doesn't show these servers available for connection in different network nodes around the world (it waits 8 seconds for TCP response).

Per @muziqaz prior post, I am aware there are pervasive server issues across the entire ecosystem.

Just wanted to note ds01.scs.illinois.edu (128.174.73.74 for which this thread was named) seems to continue having challenges permitting WU downloads. I also see on the server stats page, as of my posting, the server was rebooted approximately four hours ago. Just keeping the thread updated.

Yes, various researchers were trying to click random knobs on the control panel to get things going again :D
At the moment there is no clear info of what is happening

S**t Sandwich

And also nice to see a fellow folder from the 505

Meanwhile, my computer seems to be folding again, just that one dump report keeps trying over and over, but doesn’t seem to be hindering the rest of the equipment anymore.

Oh yeah and my little 2 CPU job is finally being retired from folding. These latest 169** jobs are bringing it to its knees, with sub 1000 points. So time to put it out to pasture.

Looks like whatever was happening yesterday is now resolved; all three of my folding rigs have been chewing away at new WU's (and also successfully uploading them) since around 4pm US Central Time yesterday. Thank you to the F@H technical crew for resolving whatever craziness occurred!

I still sporadically fail to download new WUs - upload seems to be working fine though.
