Points are being assigned to the wrong team

Unfortunately, I first joined the wrong team and then switched to the correct one. At first, the points were correctly assigned to the right team. However, they were later reassigned to the old team again. The correct team is registered in my profile, but the points are still being incorrectly assigned.
Can someone help? I have already tried restarting and other troubleshooting methods, but nothing has worked.

Are you sure your team number has been saved by the client?
If you are, then it should give points to that team which is in your client. Remember, that any WUs which you received before the change, even if they finish after the change, still going to old team

Check your logs. Find the line where it says "Requesting WU assignment for user XXX team YYY" and verify that the team is correct there. If it is not, then wait until the next time a WU is downloaded and check that again.

The problem actually resolved itself overnight. Normally, I would have waited as well, but I was a bit confused because at first, points were credited to the correct team and then back to the old one. Now, it seems to be working.
