Request Nvidia support on ARM (Ampere & Grace)

Post by thaddeusf »

Hello,

The subject was brought up in the v8.4.9 thread, but I'd like to raise the question in this forum as well. It seems like supporting ARM servers would open a lot of oppurtunities for Folding compute. Are there any roadblocks to doing this?

Thanks.

Yes, no one human can afford grace hopper and Ampere.
Those who use some cloud instances come with various caveat which would bring many layers of troubleshooting when things do not work.
Plus FAHcore development resources are extremely limited, like waiting for HIP implementation for years. And AMD fah marketshare is infinitely larger than anything ARM.
So there will not be any ARM developments in near future and beyond.
There is ARM CPU fahcores, which does work fine on linux
