Points with quick return bonus are also non-linear.
A rig 2x as fast can get (2 * sqrt(2)) as many points.

Re: Thoughts on Apple M chips?
I used the real-time estimate on the monitoring webpage where it shows each machine's PPD to compare, not by the final points with bonus awarded. Does the software base its calculation using the anticipated bonuses, or just a raw estimate based on time per frame? The only negative I’ve noticed is that the Mini’s fan is audible with all cores engaged. The M1’s is practically silent.

If you have a passkey set, the client will assume bonus in the estimate.
It doesn’t know your bonus qualification state.

Do you have a decibel meter app on your phone? Also be nice to know temperature on top of case and in exhaust air.

I’m seeing a max ~60db at the back of the Mini, slightly less in front. I don’t have a temp sensor handy, but the case is comfortable to touch; my Mac Studio’s case and exhaust are noticeably warmer.

Re: Thoughts on Apple M chips?
I got an M4 pro Mac mini 14 core.
Less than a day of data running CPUs 10.
Seems to be getting about 5x the ppd of my M1 mini. 540-1040k ppd so far. Some constant level white noise from fan. My decibel app is not working. Not very loud. My M1 seems silent.

Congrats, calxalot.
These M4 Pro Mini systems are quite the little folding engines.
