Raspberry Pi 5 Errors

Post by Clarktyl212 »

Ahoy,

I just got a raspberry Pi 5 and I'm running PiOS with it. I have installed Folding@home but the process keeps trying to search for work. I essentially get the same errors. The servers are up, as I see them here:https://apps.foldingathome.org/serverstats . Looking for any help, thanks.

I'm getting same errors

Code: Select all

19:56:58:I1:OUT7:> POST https://assign1.foldingathome.org/api/assign HTTP/1.1
19:56:58:I1:OUT7:< HTTP/1.1 503 HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE
19:56:58:E :OUT7:HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE: {"error":"No appropriate assignment"}
And the same errors for assign1-assign6. This post viewtopic.php?p=364902&sid=e89ab54b6b36 ... 81#p364902 states issue is for systems running CPU jobs which have less than 4 CPU threads available. Your logs shows you are trying to get WU for 1 CPU. I'm trying to get WU for 3 CPUs (I have 4 CPU's, but 1 CPU is used to fold alongside GPU on another project). So it may be related.
The same post leads to another thread where someone suggests check the same server status page https://apps.foldingathome.org/serverstats. I see assign1 and assign2 with some errors, warnings and other red numbers, but don't know what it means. I'd don't see any of the assign3-assign6 though.

Just got WU for 3 CPUs and folding successfully right now. Didn't restart anything, just waited. But after some time problem comes back.

After observing logs for about a week, looks like I can get new assignment from server sometimes. But most of the time I'm getting the same errors.

It's about two weeks now and all this time I'm constantly getting WU and folding successfully. Didn't do anything apart restarting computer several times for other reasons. So I believe it was server-side problem.
