Login Not Found
This morning I restarted my F@H client now that my machine won't incinerate me and all seemed well. This evening when I came back after work, the client was stuck in 'Updating' status. After multiple attempts to restart I uninstalled the client and installed 8.3.18 but now when I try to log in I get 'DB Login not found' when I try my former email/passkey and also the request a new passkey link. Even Discord won't let me in. I've done over 2,000 workunits so it's not a new user issue. Help please?

Re: Login Not Found
Your passkey is not a password and is not part of a fah account.
Use the register panel in Web Control to create an account.
Please re-read the guide:

Re: Login Not Found
I also have this issue, credit for past work I have done seems to have been lost. This seems to be because there are now accounts with email logons rather than usernames. I see the update for V8.3 Client Guide suggests there are now 'accounts', though that's not clear, but since there's also no date on that page it's hard to determine the relevance. That's 3 wrong steps, and forum posts that ignore the question also aren't helpful. I suspect that the answer is 'We've wiped your previous work credit to alter how the system works because we're focussed on the results of the work rather than encouraging people to contribute'. I had a solid 18 months of contribution during covid, which probably cost a fair bit in electricity, and I'm not rich. It would be nice to keep track of that contribution. Somehow I suspect the teams didn't also get their contributions reduced to zero.

I can confirm that when creating an account you can enter your old passkey and username along with the new email and password and the old work credit is retained, so thank you!
