Draining my battery

Greetings everyone:

While I am running FAH v8.3.18, my battery continually drains even though I am plugged in to my power supply. I tried an even bigger power supply and had no change in the problem. I adjusted my "power mode" slider all the way over to choose better battery life over performance, but it still drains. In the past with earlier versions of FAH I had the same issue. The battery only has this draining going on when FAH is active. When I am not running FAH it works normally.

How do I fix this? I would like to continually run FAH instead of having to stop periodically for my battery to recharge.

PROBLEM SOLVED: I reduced the number of CPU cores to dedicate to folding, and I no longer have the issue.

The root cause of your issue is that the PSU you are using is not powerful enough for your laptop ... are you using the original one provided with the laptop ?

More details about the laptop and the PSU used might be useful for additional suggestions to handle the situation.
