AMDGPU 22.40 linux GPU stops folding

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

because I'll bet others are encountering this or soon will.

The long and short of it is the updated AMDGPU 22.40 drivers offer a massive performance improvement, but bring in a library version conflict.
