I stopped folding because I was going to be using my laptop on battery for a while (I did the "finish up and then stop" thing).
Now I'm ready to resume. It says "paused finished", and I can't figure out how to unpause it. I've tried changing the "power" level, and clicking back and forth between the "when I'm working" and "only when idle" options.
I'm using the CPU on a Windows machine.

Assuming you're using the advanced control panel one of two ways
1). click Fold (it looks like a play button), this will start every available folding slot
2). right click on the individual folding slot and select Fold from the popup menu

Re: How do I unpause?
Maybe I'm not using the advanced control panel. I'm using whatever it is at https://client.foldingathome.org/. It has a big red "Stop Folding" button, but says "Paused". It has nothing that looks like a Play button, or anything that says "Fold".

Ah, you're using the web client.
Try hitting the button below the power slider, I suspect it's the one that says "paused finished".
I'd recommend taking a look at the advanced control panel
Start -> Folding@home -> FAHControl
It should connect to the client on the local computer.

Re: How do I unpause?
I think with web control, you need to stop before you can start folding again.
You can also use the command line:
FAHClient —send-unpause

FAHClient —send-unpause

Indeed stopping (again) got me a green START button, which appears to have worked. Thanks!
