Hello,

My names Jason, owner of Tech Support Team. I've seen a few sites using Folding@Home - so thought I'd see what it's all about. I see in short that you're trying to find cures for diseases like Alzheimer’s, Mad Cow, Parkinson’s, CJD, and ALS. I find this very interesting, and want to help as much as possible.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of setting everything up? Such as getting the team number ect.

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,
Jason

Welcome to the forums and the Fold :)

Choose any team you like :P Or if you wish to set up a new team click here to start one.

Just click "client download" at the top of this forum and grab whichever will suit you more - [Assuming you're running windows] 5.03 allows you to view the protein being processed and gives you a GUI configuration menu (most people start with this), or 5.04 gives you a command line window which allows you to run the client invisibly as a service, but which is slightly more technical...

On the download page you can also check whether your chosen username is available or already in use (assuming you wish to contribute under your own username rather than anonymously)...

If you have any more questions just check back here :)

[Mods - can this please be moved to a more appropriate area, TIA] Edit by Mod: Done. -b
