Stats output (flatfiles) frozen

Post by drougnor »

The stats flat file has last updated at 20:18 GMT (3:18pm EST) On Feb, 2nd, 2021, just FYI. Can someone let the folks at the home office know to kick that server?

Is this the hang on the EOC Stats- now 21 hours adrift?
I hope the software takes the strain on recovery..

I have notified the person looking into stats problems. Hopefully fixed soon, and should have points from some of the servers which have not been reporting stats properly to the database over the last few weeks.

Good to hear, also interesting that this is bigger than just this outage. I'm guessing we'll se a big adjustment then in external tools.

Same issue here although my FAH stats page "appears" to be correct, currently showing about 6M more points than EOC.

The main F@H site (Donor) shows my latest upload time and 9793 units correctly- but the team html page shows from yesterday this out of date result, as noted by the OP.
If this is what is accessed by third parties- that could well be an issue.
About 8 work units have gone in between those times.. these older numbers are currently echoed by EOC and also my results file box showing in my previous post above.

Looks to me like the stat pages are showing updated points for all my clients, but the time of last updates is 5 hr's ahead (I'm EST). I wonder if they changed the display to show the UTC time stamp rather than what they were using before (not sure, but I think they were showing PST). Anyone have any better info on what's going one. This is certainly causing the stats normally shown at https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ to get missed as we are not past the that point yet and I'm guessing the results will be way behind until they can adjust for the time offset change.

EOC depends on the stats flat files (text) downloaded from the stats page links. The last update to the team file was yesterday at 20:18 UTC, I did not download the larger donor file to check. Once the scripts that create updated versions of those files are restarted after stopping for whatever reason, then EOC can start updating again.

As I understand it, queries using the official stats page links are done against a copy of the actual database. Otherwise the database slowed down adding new entries too much. A large number of entries should nave been done starting sometime in the last 24-48 hours as some server that were not submitting stats reports have been looked at and problems corrected.

OK, that make sense. I've been looking at the EOC site long enough now I had forgotten that that the F@H stat were plain UTC and it just struck me as odd yesterday. Tks

This is interesting... I recall that I was very suspicious one day that reported #'s weren't correct.
It was right after adding 3070#1 and I was closely monitoring the client & HFM estimated PPD, something that retired people can do.
I considered extracting the logged data in HFM for comparison, but didn't.

Got big boost after restart or update, now looks like they are back to not crediting some wu's.
