Results of moonshot project
I'm trying to find what is progress/results of moonshot project and the moonshot sprints on FAH, but couldn't find a lot regarding progress towards treatment. The moonshot sites show some chemicals designed and synthesized. But I can't find anywhere how this is going further towards a therapeutic, where we are in that process ... . Most of the documents are somewhere from March, April, after that wave of publicity not much new information.
Are the synthesized components somehow going to evaluation of effectivity as a therapeutic and of toxic effects? Couldn't find any statements on that. While science in all of that may be interesting, it would be nice to see also publications on realworld results against the pandemic. That in the end needs clinical tests. How far are we from that, how is the plan to get there?
Maybe somebody from the science teams can give further insight?

Re: Results of moonshot project
It has become almost impossible to search for mainstream news about the Covod Moonshot because the population testing system in the UK has been called Operation Moonshot.

Thanks for the link, I had been looking at that. However it does not provide any further information about what will be considered as a therapeutic and what are further plans to get there.
Re: Results of moonshot project
I've been wondering the same thing. It would be interesting to see where one or more compounds feed into any of the efforts found on either of these roadmaps:

Thanks PantherX, that's information I was looking for, but of course not all of it . Let's hope for more! Let's hope we'll have something that can go into clinical testing soon.

The Sprints are for GPUs so that is what the blog post focuses on. However, CPU work for COVID is important too. Best guess would be to keep an eye out for these blog posts which might cover CPU Projects:JimF wrote:...But are they all GPU, or some CPU?

Good enough. i have put a Ryzen 3900X on it now, and will add another in a day or two. I just need a good supply of work now.PantherX wrote:Projects:

Another excellent blog post from the Chodera Lab: Could a new class of antibodies treat COVID-19 in a manner that avoids resistance?
Gentlepeople, get your GPUs ready - could this be the making of Sprint 5?

We hypothesize that when S309 binds to the RBD, it alters the set of conformational states of the RBD such that the RBD no longer binds to all the same partners, disrupting the virus’s ability to enter human cells. To investigate this hypothesis, we will run simulations of apo RBD (Project 17307), apo ACE2 (Project 17308), RBD:ACE2 (Project 17309), and RBD:S309 (preparation for F@h in progress) and compare the range of conformational states for the RBD across these simulations.

Ivy Zhang must understand the subject very well, because she explains it very well.ElectricVehicle wrote:Another excellent blog post from the Chodera Lab: Could a new class of antibodies treat COVID-19 in a manner that avoids resistance?
