Re: Bad work unit??
That's why I bought this bad boy back in the day! No joke back then! Still a great card today! In no way am I trying to waste production units, but rather trying to utilize my hardware to what it was designed to do. Thank you Bruce for the explanation. Perhaps from running on and off for years, there is some electron degradation at play. I like to think that I am still contributing, and while not the fastest, I still feel good about it, especially if I can reduce any errors on my side.
Re: Bad work unit??
Back 'in the day" you only had the option of OpenCL. FAH has not taken that away. What used to work will still work. You just have more options.

For sure! Would like to see what the 3080 on cuda folding is capable of. Lowered my power limit a bit more to ensure long term stability. Waiting on some parts to redo my water loop. For now, looks like the factory overclock here is suspect. Thank you all for your information and suggestions! Now, on to folding some proteins!!

Re: Bad work unit??
I've been following this thread and have a question.
I have a 2 x GPU rig, 1 - GTX 1070 and 1 - GTX 950
The 1070 runs like a champ; it's the 950 that croaked off and "Failed".
I see the recommended "--disable-cuda" in the Config screen.
How, if it's possible, does one "shut off" or "--disable-cude" for the 950 only, leaving the 1070 to do its thing...?
Thank you...

See gunnarre post at top of page 2 ... set flag for gpu slot you want go disable.

Re: Bad work unit??
Theoretically, both of your GPUs (GTX 950 & GTX 1070) should be able to use CUDA. If you're keen to troubleshoot, feel free to create a new thread in the appropriate forum with the log files and GPU-Z screenshots
