I can not tell if it is the core or my machine, which used to work with some version of that core.

We would need to see the first 100-200 line of your log file. It is possible the client updated some setting or the GPUs.txt file and that changed your configuration. This especially can be a problem if you have one of several Intel processors whose iGPU have been enabled for the internal testers.

If you post the first 200 lines of your Log, we can read the configuration of your PC, your OS, and your Drivers, which will give hints why OpenCL is not installed.
Other than knowing why OpenCL is not installed, I can only guess you need new drivers from Nvidia.

I do have two GPUs active to use 3 monitors.
Looks like everything is ok until it tries to get the GPU. Maybe it asks the system for the GPU thinking it will get the Nvidia but the system tries to give it the intel. How do I tell Windoof to use the GM206 for OpenCL ?

I deactivated the intel HD4600 in the windows device manager.
Now it works, BUT is using all 4 of my CPU cores instead of the GPU.

Is your CPU showing up as an OpenCL device? Is it possible the device numbers have just changed and your GPU OpenCL device number is different than it used to be?

When FAH attempts to use a GPU which is not supported, sometimes it will download an assignment for the CPU and start a FAHCore that doesn't use a GPU. What project is using those 4 CPU cores? ,,, or is a FAHCore running that's NOT FAHCore_22 (FAHCore_a*)

I truly do not believe you have a driver from Nvidia.
if you did, there would be a line about OpenCL here. (correct sample below)
13:13:53: GPU 1: Bus:23 Slot:0 Func:0 NVIDIA:8 GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] 11380
13:13:53: CUDA Device 0: Platform:0 Device:0 Bus:23 Slot:0 Compute:6.1 Driver:11.0
13:13:53:OpenCL Device 0: Platform:1 Device:0 Bus:23 Slot:0 Compute:1.2 Driver:451.48
Your configuration lacks an OpenCL line, I would download the right driver from Nvidia.

the fan on the G PU is not moving
all 4 C PU cores are at 100%
The only Slot active is: WU00:FS00:0x22:Project: 13420 (Run 3145, Clone 40, Gen 0)
FAHControl is telling me that it is running on GM206.
The CPU is not doing too well with the job, it has been working for 1:20 and still not completed a single percentage point.

That sounds very plausible but I do not know how to tell.

OpenCL:
0 GPU GTX 960
1 GPU HD 4600
2 CPU i5
I will reboot to see if that changes the numbers.

Reboot did not change the numbers but now it is back to the:
Code: Select all
19:35:21:WU00:FS00:0x22:ERROR:exception: No compatible OpenCL platform is available
19:35:21:WU00:FS00:0x22:Saving result file ..\logfile_01.txt

19:35:21:WARNING:WU00:FS00:FahCore returned: BAD_WORK_UNIT (114 = 0x72)
Nonsense
Even though it correctly identifies:
Code: Select all
19:34:42: <!-- Folding Slots -->
19:34:42: <slot id='0' type='GPU'/>
19:34:42:</config>

19:34:42:Successfully acquired database lock
19:34:42:Enabled folding slot 00: READY gpu:0:"GM206 [GeForce GTX 960] 2308"
I will reinstall the GeForce driver, maybe that resets OpenCL.

Have you tried to update to version 7.6.13 of the client as well? You're running a client from 2012.
Online: GTX 1660 Super + occasional CPU folding in the cold.
Offline: Radeon HD 7770, GTX 1050 Ti 4G OC, RX580

Oh.
I deleted the client folder (not the C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient part)
and got the new installer.
Problem solved .

The fact that you're running an old version of FAHClient isn't really a comforting fix to the basic problem. As I see the issue, you had a system with zero supported OpenCL GPUs but somehow it decided you could download a WU.
I think this might be a good situation where the download needed to be from 192.0.2.1
By failing to find supported hardware, it decided to make 4 CPU cores busy doing nothing productive.
