no GPU on reinstall 7.6.9

I have been folding for a couple months with 7 million points and about 400 WU. My GPU download has been stuck at 24% downloading for about 24 hours so in another thread a guy said he forced GPU to go to another IPAddy by deleting the GPU in his slots page, so I did the same thing. Then I tweeked it til it broke and long story - I uninstalled 7.5.1 and When downloading saw there was a new version 7.6.9

Whoopie! So I downloaded it, installed it, set up my ID, my Team, my PassCode and F@HControl immediately started processing what looks like the WU it had been working on (because I am already on 10.83% and that was about what the old CPU WU was at when I uninstalled.

BUT I have no GPU slot. I tried adding a slot on CONFIGURE > SLOTS > ADD I click on the GPU radio button and now FOLDING SLOTS has
ID 0 = cpu and
ID -1 = gpu
When I click SAVE FOLDING SLOTS now just says ID 00 RUNNING cpu:11 and there is no row for GPU

HELP?

That's a known problem. Fixed somewhere between 7.6.9 and 7.6.13. You can try the beta version if that floats your boat

Thanks for the quick feedback. The only download I see for Windows is 7.6.9
Even on the Alternate page only 7.6.9 is there. I can't even go back to 7.5.1

If I just leave things as they are, do you know if the GPU will automagically start working at some point or am I pretty much screwed?

I have a GTX950 which was slow but worked more or less fine before.

This is a known issue for a fresh installation of V7.6.9 on a GPU system, here's a workaround for you (For Windows system with default settings):
Manually download the GPUs.txt file from here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/GPUs.txt (right-click save as GPUs.txt)
Exit the client
Copy the GPUs.txt file from the Downloads folder to %AppData%\FAHClient
Reboot your system OR Restart your client (which ever is easier)
Start up the client and ensure that you can see your GPU in the log file
Add a GPU slot from FAHControl -> Configure -> Slots tab -> Add -> GPU -> OK -> Save

While PantherX's instructions will work, the likelihood is that the GPU will find itself simply by restarting again.
