It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.
I saw the AMD blogpost on the folding@home twitter feed & it says:
Please ensure that you have the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.2 version or later installed if you’re running a system equipped with Radeon graphics.
I'm currently running 19.20 on an RX 480 and it's nice and stable.
Does anyone have any comparative figures for 20.4.2?
A number of other posters have found the version 19 drivers more stable than the early iterations of version 20. There have been a number of problematic releases, especially for persons doing folding. I don't recall any posts that there was any speed improvement.

If you had a Vega gpu then you may be interested.
Fixed Issues: Radeon RX Vega series graphics products may experience a system hang or black screen when running Folding@Home while also running an application using hardware acceleration of video content.
On my FuryX they are just ok I'm no longer seeing crashes folding a project with more than 165k Atoms. Oddly now Projects with 28k Atoms takes 2 hours longer to complete than ones over 300k lol
Since you're not having any issues I'd stick with whats working.
