Ever since I installed F@h about a month ago,
whenever I run it, I seem to have this odd issue where the little corner icons on my desktop thumbnails (like the ones with the shortcut arrows) spontaneously change for no reason.
Unfortunately, I can't attach image files to this topic but sometimes all the thumbnails on my desktop that
are shortcuts have their little shortcut icons change to green tick icons and sometimes to grey criss-crosses and back again while F@h is running.
It doesn't happen everyday but it is worrying me.
Has anyone else had a similar issue like that?
In case you're wondering, I'm using Windows 10.
Odd issue, probably with F@h

Any chance you can grab a screen image of this? I've never seen anything like you describe. Windows has a tool for capturing screens called "Snip and Sketch" from the application list.

So what do I do?

Hey there.
I know exactly what is happening to you. It is a windows bug that has oddly been around since the 90s, into early 2000s. It's nothing serious or dangerous so don't worry about that. There have been many forum posts, solutions, and new issues discussed over the years, but here are some solutions. The first thing you can always do is press f5 on your desktop to refresh the screen. Doing so also usually refreshes the image cache for your shortcut icons.

I would follow that posts suggestion with a CMD command. It should fix your issue for a long while if not permanently. The bug could resurface, if the cache img files are overwritten again by as software install, or sometimes just because of a weird computer issue causing a restart.
I have had the icons for shortcut change to all sorts of things. Different arrows, Program Icons such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audacity, the windows share icon. Regardless of what it is, I hope this solution helps you out!

I did a quick google.
Microsoft OneDrive can change the shortcut links/icons to denote sync status.
https://support.office.com/en-us/articl ... c985aa49b3
The icons could change as files are being synced to the cloud, or a connection problem, or...who knows.
If you've installed FAH "properly" then the FAH data files will be in your user directory (I think...), which OneDrive might try and sync to the cloud.
No idea really - I don't use OneDrive. If you do then I'd exclude FAH from any sync/backup plans.

Simple tip, ditch OneDrive altogether. I have never been as annoyed with anything Microsoft as I was when setting up a fresh computer a relative bought and everything was synced to OneDrive...
