First the good news:

as you can see, the GTX 850M is already supported

Now the bad news: I am betting this is a laptop using Nvidia Optimus

This uses the Intel GPU when load is light and switches to a Nvidia GPU when real work needs to be done. Sadly no support for Intel GPUs exists in F@H so if/when it starts the program crashes.

Device 1 is the intel GPU, Device 2 is the Nvidia, that 381.65 should be the version of your Nvidia driver

So you could configure you GPU slot to reference 2 instead of 1

Some versions of Optimus can be turned off in the BIOS, some in the Nvidia Control panel under 3D settings, some by having two slots and never starting the intel slot.

So after your client started looking for WUs it simply couldnt get one so far. Which is not unexpected since there is a shortage of WUs for GPUs at the moment. It will find work sooner or later though, from my take everything is working now.

This seems to indicate that a firewall, most likely on your PC, but perhaps at your site, is blocking fahclient.

If you can allow applications, allow fahclient.
