How do I add it back?
Also, which is more effective at folding, the cpu or gpu?
My GPU disappeared from FAH.

Re: My GPU disappeared from FAH.
I think I figured it out, I just had to set the gpu to 0 since -1 does not work. :/
Which is more effective at folding though?

You do not list either your GPU or your CPU. How would we know what you own?

Re: My GPU disappeared from FAH.
The GPU is, nearly always, significantly faster than the CPU. But we don't know your hardware, like JimboPalmer said, so it's hard to know for sure.
In general, GPUs are more specialized so they aren't able to do as many different types of simulations, but for those that it can process, it does them an order of magnitude faster and that's why they are extremely valuable to Folding@home. The CPU is great because it can do a very wide range of simulations and does them more reliably.

F@h is now the top computing platform on the planet and nothing unites people like a dedicated fight against a common enemy. This virus affects all of us. Lets end it together.

Re: My GPU disappeared from FAH.
I was just asking in general which is more effective at folding, a good cpu or a good gpu?
I have an i7-8700K and a GTX 1080 ti.

Yup, 10x seems about right: gpu only: 7 digit estimated points per day, cpu only: 6 digit estimated points per day. Wow.
Re: My GPU disappeared from FAH.
Projects are either CPU or GPU.
Example:
Project A, CPU
Project B, GPU
Project A will only run on CPUs and Project B will only run on GPUs.
Looking at "math done per second" GPUs win. But all that power is of no use for Project A, as it only run on CPUs.
