Chart of actual work performed over time?

Post by FallibleCanine »

Not at all critical, but I'm really curious. Does anyone have a chart showing actual work performed (not just theoretical capacity) over time for Folding@Home? Mostly wondering to see how actual operations have increased lately. (Like, the exaflop figure given in media pieces is just theoretical capacity, right? But the actual amount is bottlenecked by servers?)

Welcome to Folding@Home!

I found the weekly tab interesting, we don't have a month of COVID-19 Work Units yet. 2 more days.

This is in Points Per Day, not FLOPS. but they should be similar lines.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. And while I still need to figure out how to parse it, I think, at a glance it definitely seems encouraging.

The numbers you're looking at on foldingathome.org are based on the actual WUs being returned, not on any theoretical capacity.
