The problem appeared with a recent Chrome update. It affects Chrome and the browsers using Chromium.
For now, the best workaround is to use Firefox.

7. How to fix Web control error ?
For: Google Chrome and some Chromium based browsers,
To fix web control,
Hit f12 on browser to enter dev mode,
right click on refresh button and hard reload.
Also try Incognito mode or clear cache.
Firefox is not affected by this bug

Which version of Firefox? A few years ago the Mozilla programmers decided to follow Google Chrome on a number of things, maybe this "issue" with Chrome has been imitated?

What are the details of this issue, btw?
For me, it is not cache related, the workaround that has been posted (dev settings, disable cache for this page) doesn't work. Is it some sort of flooding protection?
The web UI seems to poll the F@H client a lot.

Not quite sure of the details, just know it started showing up as an issue a few months ago with Chrome. The developer is aware of the problem and was looking into it for an update to be released with an updated client. But as I understand it, all development was halted to work on the current response to COVID-19. There is another topic here where some were talking about looking at the open source to the Web Control and look for fixes.

Thats what I get when using Chrome.
Just right-click on the FAH icon in your windows bar and select advanced mode, it brings up the dedicated FAH window.
Firefox seems to be working ok for me but I barely ever use it.
