Was surprised to see TPFs on my 24core/30core slots push out to around 4x what I usually see - was concerned until I saw a comment re this from one of the Beta testers on the Beta Forum and then looked at the Project description.
For CPU WUs these appear to be "quite" large - not that I am complaining in the least (keeps the server busy and give good points) - but would be quite nice to know a bit more about why this is so (and a related project) as/when/if the surge on just getting WUs generated and processes improves lets off.
Think this project may be on ADV only … So bit of feedback 24/56 slot circa 3.5 hrs to complete, 30/56 slot circa 3 hrs (2x Xeon e5-2697 v3 @ 2.60GHz - Win 10) - I am guessing low core slots may find this quite a grind?

I'd already spotted that … I was more interested in why this specific protease is so large - or are there many that are this large but that they are not normally modelled? - that type of stuff … purely from a science angle really - how sizes (and computation time requirement) might shape choices of models - whether the current increase in folding capacity and environmental pressures might be pushing sizes upwards? … Just a "generalist" with a non commercial side interest in synth bio being inquisitive really

Appreciate your interest in knowing more about this protein. p14588 is actually an endoribonuclease called NSP15 that cleaves viral RNA and plays an important role in viral replication. Due to its key role in viral replication, nsp15 is an attractive target for designing antiviral drugs. I'm crunching 14588 (0, 715, 4) on my 3950X and it estimates TPF at 57 seconds and an ETA of 1 hour 25 mins. I didn't really think about it when I've seen it pop up a few times over the last week but now that you mention it, tasks typically take 10-15 mins or so, so it must be quite large. Great info on the project above!
