I've configure my desktop to use FAH with this guide /viewtopic.php?f=106&t=33090, I'm capable of using the GPU for mining, clinfo returns what it should, but no work gets done in the client. I don't know what's going wrong with it.

I know it's doing nothing because radeontop reports ~10% which is more or less what it uses when I'm using the system.
Hm, I have seen 11777 folding successfully on other AMD GPU, though not in Linux. Have you tried restarting the slot? Also during the wait period, have you noticed if fahcore_22 is using 1.5/2 threads of CPU?

I've tried removing the work unit from the /work directory, still the same. I scrapped everything and used mesa, boinc projects seems to play easily with that setup. Meanwhile if I use -pro not even those work correctly.
Right now I tried again, will report back if I get a WU.
I've seen several issues that MIGHT be associated with AMD GPU drivers but no proof.
Just on a lark, go to /var/lib/fahclient/work and confirm that the account that's running FAHCore_22 has r/w permissions. What files being created there?
This log is showing WU01 is active so the files should be in a subdirecory named 01.
I'm being told, it might be drivers or opencl not fully installed. As I fold on windows, I cannot help further
but maybe Bruce will manage to get it back to life

Yes, I'm running it with the root account, since I've seen reports that that could be a problem to access the kdf driver. Sadly, as it's configured right now, it clears out the directory that creates. I've changed the the configuration so there's only one WU running, only for the GPU. The log isn't very helpful either.

I nucked the system again, to give the amd installation another try. Used viewtopic.php?f=106&t=33090 to set up the system, these are the files that were created:
Created an account to say that I have this exact problem with my 5600XT on Linux. I cannot get past "Version 0.0.2" no matter how long I leave it. No errors, just no progress.
