Fedora and GPU folding on a 5700XT

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Hi guys,

So trying to get this to work with little success.... Any suggestions on what I should be doing?

Every unit that I get is sent back with:

The GPU folding cores do not work with the open source Mesa driver. To use for folding you would need to install the AMD drivers and OpenCL support.

How about with ROCm?

Use the FINISH option in FAHControl and then don't restart FAH.

Well it's official AMD opensource project for OpenCL and more. I think they do not work much with proprietary OpenCL drivers anymore. ROCm is their future so it would be good idea to get FAH also support it if it doesn't already.
