Hiya I just started folding, and my potato computer seems to sometimes fold with my NVDIA Gforce GT 755m but sometimes it doesn't?
It's really weird

thanks

Hi homeofmew and welcome to the forum!

My guess is that this sometimes happens because the servers are temporarily out of work and there's no workunits available for your GPU to work on. There's been overwhelming number of new users to F@h and the workunits are currently being consumed faster than new ones can be generated, so sometimes that can cause the computer to wait for new work. The research teams are getting new servers online and more coronavirus projects into the queue so hopefully that can keep up with demand soon. I'd recommend keeping everything running and your potato should get work whenever it can. Thanks!
F@h is now the top computing platform on the planet and nothing unites people like a dedicated fight against a common enemy. This virus affects all of us. Lets end it together.

thanks, I know there was a bit of time where neither my CPU or GPU got anything on either of my 2 computers.
and I know that F@H had a lot of new people in the past few days that's great.
didn't know if the GT 755m could fold or not but it looks like it can.

Welcome to Folding@home!

It is likely to be slow

The requirements I look for are OpenCL 1.2 and it has that and Double Precision floating point mat and it has that.
