points not getting added

Post by scoots »

I have had several WUs now finish and upload and not add the points to my account. I can see in the log where it was successful, and make a final point estimate, but I am not credited for points earned. The first few I did added fine to the points earned section in the web client, but the last few WUs have not added on to this total.

I am currently working in curecoins pool so maybe that has something to do with it?

FAH's points accounting system is under stress, just like the other components of FAH.

Technically, FAH is a DONATION site and does not support Curecoins, or anybody else, but Curcoins happens to support FAH by downloading a copy of our DataBase. The report in FAH's log is an estimate but the actual points that get credited to FAH's require several additional steps ... and those steps may have gotten saturated due to the unprecedented level of activity by new donors.

What are the PRCG of the WUs you're looking for? Go to https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu.

Thanks for all your help, bruce. I know the system is stressed as hell for points being pushed to stats.foldingathome. Question, though, would that interfere with local counts? My brother and I just started recently and he is murdering me in work units done because he has 3 servers he yoinked for work but his local "Points earned See stats" field has remained constant and is lagging mine now even though he probably has 3x the work units I do now with half the points. Is this a "problem" in his WU not actually being counted for some kind of WU rejection reason? Or is that just the beleaguered stats system succumbing to external pressures? While I am sure there is a little bragging rights worry at stake for my bro, we are both just hoping things aren't broken on his end for some reason that we can fix! I tried to do a general search and it lead me to this thread :D

Hi! sorry for stealing this thread, but I think I have a similar issue. I just would like to ask:
I am running FAH for a day now and I have done several work units already. But, I don't see my name on any of the boards, nor among donors and not on the team board.
Also webclient is reporting 0 points.

Is it normal because of huge spike in new donors? I am asking just to be sure.
Everything seems to work except for this.

Thank you!

@BeCurieUs - As I understand it, to reduce the load on the database backed, stats queries are now going to a new front end server which is reading from a copy of the database. I do not know how often that copy is being updated, so there will be delays before the stats are updated to reflect the most recent returns. There is also a backlog on stats reports being entered.

@kamyiko - parts of my reply above apply to your situation as well, there probably will be a delay in your name showing up.

I'm seeing something similar but oddly restricted to my GPU. The points from CPU WUs seem to be getting added but those for my GPU are not :( I see similar messages about both types of jobs in the logs including the final points estimates, but my total only ever seems to get increased by the (much smaller) amounts from the CPU jobs. I wondered if my setup might be somehow causing the GPU jobs to get tainted as it's a little non-standard - it's an Alienware Area-51m laptop with a desktop core i9-9900k CPU and a desktop overclocked RTX 2080 GPU, which reports itself as a TU104BM [GEFORCE RTX 2080 MOBILE] to FAH but obviously performs quite a bit better. Any clues?
