Nathan_P mentioned Fah server overload, causing new assignments to be tardy. <if mis stated, going from memory, I apologize>
1. Overload delay - Is this why or have something to with stalled cpu's/gpu's???????????????????????????
2. Overloaded & delay - Why?????, Resolution forthcoming???????????
Knowing the answers, would stop needless troubleshooting, or continuation trouble...
Thanks
Rico

If your clients aren't actively folding, check your log file. If you see messages that look something like "No WUs available for this configuration", then that means you got through to the server but it was out of work units, in which case there's nothing for you to troubleshoot.
If you're seeing messages like "Exception: Failed to connect to" followed by an ip address, then that means you couldn't get through to the server.
As for why this is happening, F@H recently started working on Corona virus projects. Word got out, and there's been a huge influx of new participants. At this point there are just over 70,000 active folders, which is roughly 10x the number there were a month ago. So the servers have been overwhelmed. That seems to be getting taken care of - I see very few failed attempts to connect to download new work units in my log files - but it is causing the servers to run out of new work to distribute. This will take a bit longer to deal with, as they will need to recruit more research teams to use F@H.

Re: Recently
There are now plenty of work units for everyone to work on, the remaining issue is assigning them out to all the users quickly enough. The servers are currently issuing 68k requests an hour, which is a massive improvement but the team are working hard to bring more servers opnline

Thanks Guys!!!!!!!
What labs, (who) is working on Covid? One or more than one?
Kudos's to F@H, being nimble enough, so as to pivot, to helping on this pandemic

Re: Recently
The FAH labs (also known as the FAH consortium) are doing their part of testing candidate drugs against candidate virus models -- with your help, of course. The data will be reduced and put on a cloud server so that all the others who are working to solve the current pandemic can know what has NOT worked and wny, avoiding a worldwide duplication of effort. Also if something does work, that will be big news. That's the way science works but we're not waiting until our results are peer-reviewed and published in a scientific journal. I expect that papers will still be published, but given the importance of the intermediate results, we can't wait for the traditional extra time-lag to get the data out to other researchers in other labs.

Re: Recently
yes, the website/server for stats is also overloaded and will not allow more connections and that gives back a bad gateway, there is an overclockers website that does show stats but I am horrible with names and can't remember

Shown as Extreme OC in the forum header to the right of the link to the official stats site. The link to the third party Kakao stats site is dead, the original operator decided to stop, a guy in Brazil took over and had the code up for a while but ran into issues, and is currently offline.
