Not sure where to put this

Post by Martyrofsand »

So I'm attempting to download the file so I can install and start folding, however, every time I attempt to download the file the same pattern repeats.

1st attempt--File downloads, within 5 seconds it instantly deletes itself from the cpu, not even in the recycle bin just completely removed.
2nd attempt--I get a "network failed" error.
3rd attempt--I get a "did not clear virus scan" error

This cycle repeats over and over again. I've attempted a variety of web browsers, attempted to set the file as an allowed file, hell disabled all security on my computer in an attempted to get it just leave the file alone and yet nothing changes it as this cycle continues. Does anyone know what the hell is going on and how I can get the file to stay on my computer and function? I'm on the administrative account, literally the only account on this computer, so that shouldn't be an issue either.

Are you using a web proxy which probably block FAH somehow?

What antivirus do you have installed? It sounds like something is moving it into quarantine.

I finally got it working. I had some weird malware in the background and once I got it removed everything started working fine.

Fantastic news! Don't forget to re-enabled all those security settings and software again, you got infected somehow. Cough into your elbow and all that, you know. :)
