Re: GPU won't work
If the slider is set to medium please bear with, the servers are very heavily loaded and its taking a while to get work out to all the new donors

Thanks that worked! No I've got another question: can I somehow get two sliders ? One for CPU and one for GPU? I would like to set CPU to light, and GPU to medium.

Re: GPU won't work
Welcome to Folding@Home!
I can help with that.
Light implies you use 1/2 your CPUs, while Medium implies you use all but one CPUs, and Full implies you use all CPUs.
I don't know how many CPUs you have, so you may need to check now. Ready?
I am assuming Windows, but you know I am just guessing.
In the lower right of your taskbar is a F@H molecule Icon. (you may need to click on an Up Arrow ^ to see it) Click that
A menu will come up, you want the second item, Advanced Control. Click That.
In a new screen, an icon to the left is Configure Click that.
Now you should have a new pop up. One tab should be Slots, Click that
here we usually see one item cpu and one item gpu Click cpu
A new pop up comes up.
By default the number of CPUs is set to -1 that lets the software decide, and you dislike that. You can set it to any number between 1 and the number of CPUs you have.
Set it to half as many CPUs as you have, just like Light.
Save, and close until you are all done.
Your next Work Unit will use 1/2 your CPUs. (It may take effect immediately, but I know it will be in effect next WU)
Now your GPU works like Medium, but your CPU works like Light.

And you can add one CPU at a time to increase your points until you feel it slowing down your real work. then drop by one.
