OK I'm running opensuse tumbleweed on a ryzen 2700 with an rx580. The fahclient runs fine now but I see an error msg on startup concerning not finding the opencl
libs. Everything seems ok, so should I install the opencl libraries?
Do I need OpenCL?

Re: Do I need OpenCL?
Yes, FAH needs (at least the run-time) OpenCL libraries if you're going to fold with your GPUs. Without it, FAH can fold exclusively on the CPU. The GPU is many times more productive than the CPU alone.
You'll also see a message saying that the CUDA libraries could not be found but this can be ignored as they're not needed by AMD hardware.

Re: Do I need OpenCL?
Thanks Bruce...I installed OpenCL but the FAClient says failed to open libOpenCL.so.....
I have libOpenCL.so.1 in the lib64 directory. Is there something else I have to do? I can ask
on the opensuse mailing list....thanks again...
