Failed reading core package header
Hello,
My cpu slot stuck with that mag and keepa saying waiting fore fah core update but never updates just stays like that.
I have 24 cores in total and 23 active in the slot. Everything seems fine but it stopped working. Any ideas?

Re: Failed reading core package header
jcoffland just made a change to fix an assignment server issue. This is probably related.
Edit: What operating system is this? In the log file, does it indicate where it's trying to download from?

Re: Failed reading core package header
Still doesnt work.
Windows 10
Trying to download from cores.foldingathome.org
/avx/core_a7.fah but says failed reading core package header.
I coulndt copy and paste the log cuz i left the pc checking it from remote desktop.

On 64-bit Windows, I would expect the URL to be http://cores.foldingathome.org/Win32/AM ... ore_a7.fah
Re: Failed reading core package header
I don't see a copy of your log. (See below). How many CPU slots do you have and how many CPUs are allocated to each one?
Pause all WUs using FAHCore_a7. Unpause one of them and let the core finish updating. Then unpause the others. (Once there are two or more slots trying to update the same core, you get a deadlock.)

Removed cpu slot and readded, restarted, paused and waited but none of them worked.

The same is happening to me. I don't this path is valid. It 404s when you feed it to a browser.

Yup, add me to this party as well.
Re: Failed reading core package header
Yes download path for the core gives 404 error.
My other pc stopped working too.

Re: Failed reading core package header
The issue just appears to have resolved itself. My client just downloaded the updated core and has resumed CPU folding. The path is unchanged, so the file must have just been missing.
