AMD HD7770 strange performance gaps

[pasaf]

I'm trying to fold at HD7770 in multiply GPU configuration with NVIDIA (can't get nvidia to work yet).
Driver I'm using is: https://i.imgur.com/3xrLoek.png (17.30.1029 Crimson ReLive Edition Beta for Blockchain Compute)
With latest Adrenalin drivers it fail to start with

Maybe because after NVIDIA driver installation opencl dll was rewritten idk.
Now I have problem with low GPU activity.
Folding power is set to Full. I have 16Gb of RAM and i7-3930k CPU so I don't count that as bottleneck.

As you can see GPU Activity is at 64% (450MHz core clock) most of the time. It even drops to 0% sometimes.
At 100% (1150MHz Core clock) it loads only for 1-10 seconds.
With NVIDIA I had stable 100% load.

I have never used two video cards, let alone from different vendors, so I will offer observations while we wait for anyone brave enough to try and smart enough to succeed.

Whenever you have GPU issues, we try to convince you to download the latest driver direct from the Vendor

How are you measuring low GPU activity? GPU-Z?

i hope this gives you tools to help us diagnose your issue.

The 0xc000007b error is from Windows, not from FAH. There should be an entry in the Windows error log that tells us more about it. Without any more information, I'm going to guess that it's a driver problem, as JimboPalmer has suggested.

Getting different vendor's driver running concurrently is technicall POSSIBLE but it's actually pretty difficult. I'd recommend you put those two GPUs in separate systems.

I've succeed run both NVIDIA & AMD cards after reinstalling NVIDIA driver (AMD still running on old Crimson driver, don't know if it will on Adrenaline and won't try yet)
Issue with performance gaps still persist. One thing I found out that AMD running @ PCIe x8 1.1 which limits bandwidth to 2gb/s, don't know if this causes issue, though.

Can you check pcie speed with GPU-Z while FAH is running? You CPU supports pcie 2.0 and with 40 lanes should be able to run 2 GPUs at pcie 2.0 x16. Maybe the mainboard has some limits there?

Also you can try to pause the CPU slot to see if that makes any difference for your GPU?

Another AMD driver may also be worth trying. FAH cannot use any mining optimizations done in AMD blockchain driver for VRAM.

Well, yes, it switches to x8 3.0 when folding is active
I will try Adrenaline drivers if I able to run them (see error in my first message)

After using DDU in safe mode for both cards, installed latest drivers (AMD first), reinstalled FAHClient and both cards working. AMD still has those gaps but working on 1150MHz while on 64% load and strangely reduces clock to 400Mhz when on 100% load (maybe driver has revert reporting but I'm using latest with clean install).
NVIDIA is used as main GPU (installed in first pcie slot and display is connected to it)

Try to check CPU load with Windows 10 task manager, especially "kernell time". If you dont run FAH on CPU but still have high CPU load with high level kernell time (30-50%) than you have a technical issue with 2 cards in the system.
