I am currently folding using a GT 1060 3 GB on a Maximus VIII Hero motherboard, with 16 GB RAM and an i7 6700K.
I will be adding a Radeon RX 570 to my farm later today, as well as temporarily adding a GTX 980 (two different PCs).
Is there such a thing as a transferable config file for f@h 7.5.1 running on Windows? I would like to be able to save settings on one system and transfer then to another (including team number and passkey). Is there a simple way to do this? It may be as easy as it sounds, but the time involved in making today's upgrades is such that I want to be absolutely sure that I have everything in place before I perform the upgrades.

Re: V7.5.1 & transferring options
I use a text document on a USB drive and cut and paste out of wordpad.

Even then you want the client to install without much if any configuration. Each new install gets an unique machine ID when it first contacts the F@h servers, duplicating that to a new system can cause problems.JimboPalmer wrote:I use a text document on a USB drive and cut and paste out of wordpad.

Re: V7.5.1 & transferring options
The MachineID is not stored in the config but rather in one of the .db files or the registry. It's safe to move the config, just as JimboPalmer said.

I said I cut and paste Name, Team, and Passcode out of Wordpad.
I let the installer configure, as I have NO absolutely identical PCs.

Re: V7.5.1 & transferring options
I have the info saved in an email, which is pinned on top of my inbox.
All I really need to know is the passkey.
Username and team I already know out of my head.

I'd hope you know the username always!
